Being a creative entrepreneur can be incredibly stressful when you're constantly switching gears between "inspiring artist" and "confident marketer." It can be lonely spending hours of your energy working on a creative business, in your living room, hoping that you'll find a community of customers who value what you do. How can we find balance? Remain inspired? Keep the joy in our work? And maybe most crucially, how do we stay focused and courageous during the lulls and valleys inevitable in every maker's journey? Erin Klassen, the founder of With/out Pretend publishing, believes that the best ideas are made better when they're shared. In this hands-on workshop, she'll demonstrate the power of letting go of unrealistic expectations and the value of letting others into the making process.

                Erin Klassen

Geninne will talk about her creative journey in creating her immensely popular artwork and about the opportunities and challenges she has experienced in working with partners in licensing her work.
